Orthopedic issues can be the result of force-related wear and tear that can be the result of sports, accidents, sedentary lifestyle, occupation, and, of course, “exercise.” This requires a strategic and personalized approach to implementing and manipulating the exercise experience for a client/patient.

General recommendations are physiotherapeutic exercises, “light stretching,” various forms of Yoga, and more.  All of which may have a place in the action toward reducing symptoms and improving function.

This course will not provide “general recommendations.” We will provide a ten-step succession to client and condition-specific exercise options and programming.

Key concepts

  • Muscle Education
  • Orthopedic Variances in Structure
  • Degeneration – Regeneration
  • Strategic Manipulation of Internal and External Forces Related to Exercise
  • Isometric, Dynamic, and Passive Muscle Actions
  • Alpha Gamma Motor Neuron Co-Activation
  • Joint Geometry
