The AAPTE Performance Enhancement Coach (PEC) course provides an interdisciplinary applied approach to performance enhancement within the context of clinical sports sciences and the AAPTE’s integrated approach of the human movement sciences.
This course will present cutting-edge assessment techniques, micro-progressive training theory, sport-specific program design, injury causation - prevention, optimal training threshold and a critical look at endocrine and immune systems function and responses.
The PEC course was designed for those who want a greater understanding of performance optimization theory and application. This course is ideal for those working with all levels of people with the goal of improved performance from adolescent to adult.
1. Describe the endocrine and immune system in performance optimization.
2. Explain gender variance and its relationship to performance optimization.
3. Demonstrate the ability to create a performance optimization program with consideration of physiological and mechanical variables effecting performance optimization.
