This course is for personal trainers and rehabilitation professionals seeking the advanced skills required to provide their clients and patients with the ultimate exercise experience.

RTS is for the unbiased exercise professional, focusing on exercise design, execution, delivery, and decision-making for the individual client or patient.

Zoom (7/22, 7/23, 7/24, 6:00-8:30 PM.)

  • An introduction to RTS™ principles and perspectives.
  • Review skeletal anatomy variances and considerations related to joint motion and muscle function.
  • Exploration of forces and restraints related to exercise performance and results.
  • Microprogression and regression related to customizing resistance training exercises.
  • Understand the RTS’s fundamental principles and how to apply them to create a unique client/patient experience.
  • Apply principles of mechanics to exercise analysis and application (e.g., moment arm, torque, inertia, offloading, and uploading force).

In-person, practical, hands-on skill training – Two (2) days (7/27 & 7/28, 9:00 – 3:45 PM.)

  • Hands-on skill development for the upper & lower body and spine.
  • In-depth application of exercise mechanics as it relates to joint function and muscle stimulation. 
  • Verbal, visual, and tactile cueing for effective neuromuscular stimulation.
  • Introduce strategic variations® of exercise manipulation and progressions.
  • Use strategic and deductive approaches to initiating an exercise and manipulate exercise for intended outcomes and goals, using Machines, Free Weights, Cables, and More!

Participants must be

  • Open-minded. This course will challenge your beliefs and understanding of exercise.
  • Interested in principle-based exercise decision-making.
  • Willing to participate in the practical skill exercise experience.

Participants will be able to apply

  • The principle of MicroProgression™ of exercise(s) is based upon a client’s needs, goals, abilities, and tolerance.
  • Their understanding of the interrelationship of muscle actions, joint positions, and motions to exercise application.
  • The essential principles of physics and mechanics to exercise.

Learning objectives

  • Understand the RTS’s fundamental principles and how to apply them to create a unique client/patient experience.
  • Apply principles of mechanics to exercise analysis and application (e.g., moment arm, torque, inertia, offloading, and uploading force).
  • To comprehensively understand the potential influence forces (internal and applied) can have on the human body’s tissue tolerances.

Certification Exam – Online- 100 multiple-choice questions – A minimum grade of 70 to pass.
